I am the Education Librarian and the instruction team leader at the Stewart Library. I work primarily with students and faculty in the Jerry & Vickie Moyes College of Education, where I am responsible for selecting materials to support the college's courses and programs, as well as student and faculty research needs.
I began my library career after moving to Utah from sunny Florida in 1997 to work at Utah State University. There I worked as the Social Science Reference Librarian, with emphasis in the business disciplines. I moved to Ogden in 2000 and was Associate Professor/Business & Economics Librarian at WSU until 2004. Here, I taught several Library Science courses, including LIBS 1704, Internet Navigator; LIBS 2201, Library Skills, Resources, and Research; and LIBS/BA 2704, Information Resources in the Business Disciplines. I moved to Colorado in 2004, and worked for a short period as an Assistant Professor/Instruction Coordinator for the Kraemer Family Library at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs before returning to Utah in May of 2006.
I was very excited to return to WSU in 2008 to continue my career as Associate Professor/Education Librarian. I currently teach LIBS1704: The Information Navigator and EDUC1105: Introduction to the University. Feel free to contact me any time for library instruction sessions, suggestions for the collection, or for research assistance.
